EC Anichur said that the schedule will be announced only after the launch of an app called Election Management System in November.
He said that the commission is taking steps to apply for the candidates in the upcoming 12th national parliament election through apps. Apart from this, through these apps, the election results and who is serving as the returning officer in which center will also be known. This measure is being taken to build a smart Bangladesh and to prevent candidates from demonstrating their strength and capabilities at the field level. It will go live next November.
He also said that except in remote areas, the ballot papers will reach the polling stations on the morning of the National Assembly election. Anichur Rahman also said that such a decision has been taken considering the security of the ballot.
Earlier, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal told reporters at the secretariat on July 30, “The schedule of the 12th National Assembly elections will not be announced before October.” In this case, the national election will be held at the end of December.
